Polish or Wax
Have you ever purchased a used vehicle and then noticed long lines going up and down the paint a month or two later? These lines are marks left from a buffing pad! That's because buffing pads are not meant to be used for waxing. Many detailers use this method as a quick way to make a vehicle look nice. When the wax wears away (4 to 6 weeks or less) you see the damage that the buffing pad has done. Some other companies use polishes that contain waxes or silicones. This is better, but still leaves some messy after effects.
If you want your vehicle to look its best and last, you need to have a true polishing job done. This is more expensive to have done at first but it will last much longer and save you money in the long run. What is a true polishing job? A true polishing job corrects scratches and swirl marks, it won't leave nasty lines in a month or two, and it will make your vehicle look better than anything else! True polishes contain no fillers (no wax or silicone).

Overspray Removal
This black Cadillac STS was covered with polyurethane paint overspray and unfortunately the overspray settled into the clearcoat.
After trying many solvents, clay bars, and consulting with two body shops, we decided the only thing to do was to wet sand the entire vehicle. The right side in this photo has been wet sanded then compounded.
The next step was to compound the entire vehicle to remove wet sanding marks, scratches, and swirl marks.
Finally, we polished the entire car with two different grades of polish. The result is a brand new looking car!
